


Varsity girls soccer had a busy week defeating St. Ava Svindland ’23 continued to set things up recording 11 total assists. Andrew’s and Charter, Bea Nace ’25 and Charlotte Vanni ’27 each scored six total goals while A.J. Andrew’s 17-11 and Charter 13-10 before falling to Tatnall 19-2.

Varsity girls lacrosse earned victories over St. Friends and Caravel, scoring 11 total goals, while Eddie Nace ’23 had four goals and 6 assists vs Caravel and added five more goals vs St. Offensively, Chris Cobb ’25 led the charge vs both Wilm. The defensive unit in all three games was impressive, with Drew Pratt ’23 and Charles Habgood ’23 standing out and Coale Crouch ’24 totaling 23 saves in goal. Varsity boys lacrosse picked up three wins this week, defeating the previously undefeated Wilmington Friends 8-6, Caravel 17-6 on Senior Night, and St. Sawyer Brockstedt ’25 was the medalist, shooting a 35, while Michael Dignazio ’24, Sam Maroney ’24, and Reece Petrunich ’24 rounded out the team scoring with a 40, 41, and 42 respectively. Varsity golf defeated Caravel 158-197 at DuPont Country Club. In the win vs Red Lion, Beyer once again pitched well throwing a complete game shutout. Ryan Coyne ’26 earned his first career win on the mound. Andrew’s, the team battled back from a two-run deficit heading into the fourth inning before scoring 11 runs over the last three innings. Friends, Ryan Beyer ’23 allowed one hit over five innings to earn his third win this season while Gavin Heck ’23 hit two doubles to lead the offensive effort. Varsity baseball earned wins over Wilmington Friends 9-5, St. With a 12-3 record overall, the team appears poised to make some noise in the state tournament later this month. Andrew’s, the varsity baseball team clinched at least a share of the DISC team championship for the fourth consecutive season! They will look to take the title outright this Tuesday, 5/16 vs Sanford at Ruly Carpenter Stadium. Varsity Baseball Clinches Share of DISC Title With two matches remaining for each team, both will look to close out perfect seasons heading into the final week of the regular season, a feat that was last accomplished by the boys team in 2021 and the girls team in 2014. For the girls (12-0), this is their third conference title in the last four seasons and their first undefeated DISC season since 2017.
